Merchant Collaboration Development and Relationship Management
- Act as the primary contact for assigned merchants, establishing trust through proactive communication.
- Comprehend key performance indicators (KPIs) of merchants, including gross merchandise volume (GMV) targets, average order value (AOV), and conversion rates, and allocate agency resources to support goal achievement.
- Collaborate with merchants to jointly formulate growth strategies that are tailored to their brand voice and target audience.
- Manage the relationship with the TikTok team and promptly addres escalations (e.g., account suspensions, payment delays, and policy violations) by communicating with TikTok’s merchant support team and internal stakeholders.
Operational Process Management
Streamline merchant onboarding and daily operations by documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for account setup, content approval, ad account linking, and performance review.Manage merchant support and ensure timely issue resolution.Coordinate with cross - functional teams to align merchant needs with agency capabilities.Performance Coaching & Growth Optimization
Track and report on key merchant health metrics : GMV, order volume, etc to identify growth bottlenecks and provide solutions to ensure continuous improvement.Provide actionable insights and coaching : train merchants on content best practices, advertising optimization, and product listing improvements.Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize merchant performance trends and flag underperforming periodically.Generate weekly / monthly operational reports for internal, highlighting positive and negative aspects, challenges, and improvement actions.Market Insights & Feedback Loop
Collect and synthesize merchant feedback regarding platform pain points and share it with TikTok’s product / operations teams to solve the issues.Monitor industry trends (such as emerging content formats and shifts in consumer behavior) and provide actionable reports to merchants to keep them competitive.Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience in merchant business development, account management, or e-commerce operations, preferably within TikTok Shop platform.Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence merchants and internal stakeholders.Strong sense of ownership and an analytical mindset for data-driven decision making.Adaptability to fast-paced environments and the ability to manage multiple priorities (including merchants, projects, and deadlines).Fluent in English, both in speaking and writing.
