OverviewThe Director of Finance reports directly to the Sr.
Director, Finance and works with the executive team and board to report business analysis and financial metrics that lead to strategic business decisions.
You will be responsible for overseeing a financial planning organization that has a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers and financial models.
The FP&A and finance function will enable and support the company's growth and value creation objectives.
You will be responsible for day-to-day operations and will work closely with our organizational leaders to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of the financial data for all of our internal and external requirements.ResponsibilitiesDevelop annual operating budgets and prepare forecasts including monthly and yearly projectionsAdminister and provide management variance analysis reports including all dashboard, operating, and board reporting packagesOrganize and evaluate data to identify and explain trends, problems, and root causesWork cross-functionally to create visibility into financial performance and understand key operational metrics within the organization to recommend new opportunities and risksImplement and utilize a planning system to streamline and operationalize our processesSupport M&A activities including due diligence, financial modeling, forecasting, and integrating financials and operational metricsOversee cashflow forecastingIdentify opportunities to enhance revenue growth and profitability expansionManage and develop staff by providing guidance, training, and motivationCompetenciesTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies : Efficiency – able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effortHonesty / integrity – does not cut corners ethically; earns trust and maintains confidences; does what is right, not just what is politically expedient; and speaks plainly and truthfullyOrganization and planning – plans, organizes, schedules, and budgets in an efficient, productive manner; focuses on key prioritiesAssertive – moves quickly and takes a forceful stand without being overly abrasiveAnalytical skills – able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative dataDisciplined Execution– operates with discipline in every action.
Works backward from an objective to set and accomplish appropriate milestonesCross Functional Collaboration – Ability to lead through influence and partner across multiple functions (e.g., product, engineering, marketing, sales, professional services, support, finance, operations) for delivering on bookings targetsMinimum qualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance10 years of financial analysis experience with 3-5 years of progressive financial leadership responsibility5 years of experience leading a team of accounting and finance professionalsExperience working in a PE-backed environmentExperience in a Software or technology focused businessStrong executive presence and be comfortable and credible interfacing within executive leadership, the board of directors, and private-equity investorsIn-depth working knowledge of the principals of financial statements, and ratio and trend analysisMust be operationally oriented with a keen focus on process, metrics, and resultsAbility to work autonomously, deal with and interact at the senior management level, and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyPreferred qualificationsExperience in calculating and forecasting Pro Forma EBITDAExperience with acquisition integrationsMaster's degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or CFAAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
