We’re looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial Retention & Lifecycle Marketing Associate to help us deepen relationships with our customers and drive long-term growth. You’ll be responsible for executing and optimizing our email and SMS marketing programs, collaborating with creative and digital teams to enhance the customer experience, and supporting broader retention initiatives and experimentation across channels.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who thrives in fast-paced DTC environments, loves digging into data, and knows how to bring ideas to life with precision and speed.
What You’ll Do
Email & SMS Marketing
- Own day-to-day execution and optimization of all email and SMS campaigns using Klaviyo and Wunderkind
- Develop segmentation, flows, and automation strategies to improve retention and drive revenue
Partner with Creative to brief, review, and refine messaging that aligns with our voice and goals
Implement A / B tests and performance enhancements to boost open rates, CTOR, and conversions
Ensure deliverability, compliance, and legal adherence for both channelsRetention Strategy & Project Management
Manage a robust campaign calendar, coordinating with Merch, Creative, and Digital Product teamsHelp execute and project manage homepage updates, lifecycle experiments, and new retention channel testsMaintain strong relationships with external vendors (e.g. ESPs, SMS partners, freelancers)
Identify customer lifecycle gaps and propose solutions rooted in data
Data & Reporting
Analyze channel performance and provide actionable insights to optimize campaign effectivenessMaintain dashboards and take ownership of interpreting and applying findingsSurface opportunities to improve customer engagement, drive second purchases, and reduce churnCross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Creative (copy / design) to deliver on-brand, high-converting messagingCollaborate with Merch and Digital Product to ensure alignment across product pushes and onsite experienceBring a customer-first mindset to cross-team conversations, advocating for relevance and clarity in every touchpoint\
Requirements
5+ years of digital marketing experience with a strong focus on email / SMS retentionProven in-house experience at one or more high-growth DTC brands (retail, apparel, CPG preferred)Expert in Klaviyo and comfortable working with tools like Shopify, Wunderkind, and Google AnalyticsAnalytical and resourceful — you can interpret data, build a brief, and ship improvements without hand-holdingA self-starter who surfaces problems and offers solutions
Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
