The first is for the Sales App Engineering team at eHealth.

Sales App business is one of the most important business-lines for eHealth and critical to the future of the company.

Sales App engineering drives a large part of eHealth's revenue.

The emergence of technologies like generative AI, natural language processing, and cloud-based contact centers provides an exciting context for a fast-growing company like eHealth.

Our proprietary scripted sales and compliance software is "best in the business" and we are looking to build newer features with these new technologies extending eHealth's significant competitive advantages.

When integrated with the company's online eCommerce platform and its unmatched capabilities in the industry — eHealth is driving toward an omni-channel opportunity of enormous scale.The second is for the Financial Systems & Carrier Integration Engineering teams at eHealth.

The Financial Systems team builds in-house software applications for revenue recognition, cash receipt and incentive compensation for partners and sales advisors.

The Carrier Integration team helps design and build the company's next-generation services in the Carrier Integration domain by developing software services and components that seamlessly send insurance applications to insurance carriers and track their status.Candidates will be considered for both roles during the interview process, however you are welcome to share your preference to the role that you best align.How you will make an impact : You have proven industry experience in software design and development.

You are a solution-centric, results-oriented, and experienced engineering leader.

You will lead other engineers, architects, and cross functional teams in a collaborative environment to improve the overall quality while achieving timely delivery of projects and in a manner that champions eHealth's culture.

You have an in-depth technical background and proven industry experience in software architecture, design, development, and testing.

You are ambitious, talented, and driven to make the team and project successful.ResponsibilitiesLeverage emerging AI technologies to enhance performance, automation, and data-driven decision-making across systems and processesStay current with AI advancements and evaluate opportunities to apply them in solving complex engineering and business challengesBuild and optimize data infrastructure that powers AI and machine learning pipelines, ensuring scalable, high-quality data availability for advanced analytics and modelingBeing a hands-on manager, you will be responsible for both technical (50%) and management (50%) dutiesMaintain a value oriented and business driven approach to project prioritization and resourcingCollaborate effectively across teams and key stakeholders including Product Management, Product UX Design, Infrastructure, Business, other engineering teamsProvide technical direction to software engineers, ensuring timely, quality design and implementation of applications, business logicWork with application security and security compliance team to ensure application adheres to standards such as HIPAADocument architecture using technical design documentsEnable and facilitate problem diagnosis and resolution in technical and functional areasEncourage change, particularly on the side of engineering best practices, developer experience, and process improvementsAdvance shift left for quality practices with activities such as unit testingEstablish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with cross-functional teamsReview the work of other engineers in a collegial fashion to promote growth, and to improve quality and engineering practicesPeople responsibilities - conduct 1 : 1 meetings, providing feedback, promoting personal development, establishing goals, and plan for career growthSupport production issues and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) effortsDemonstrate eHealth's values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.Basic Qualifications : 5+ years leading engineering teams8+ years of professional software engineering experienceExperience in leading consumer facing engineering teamsExperience in full stack software development with Java backendExperience leading multiple projects concurrentlyPast experience as a lead engineer working in a scrum teamTechnical skills : Java programming with Spring Boot framework, algorithmic thinking, data structures, Restful APIs, system architectureBasic understanding of AWS or other cloud infrastructuresExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in working with cross-functional teams such as – product, marketing, partners, security etc.BS / MS in Computer Science or related fieldPreferred Qualifications : Experience using frontend technologies such as VueJS, ReactJSExperience using GraphQLExperience with CRM and contact center business domainExperience with AWS cloud architecture, Postgres DB, Redis cache on AWSA plus to have experience with backend developer tools such as SpringFuse or PulseAPIWhat we offer (benefits) : Generous benefits include medical, dental and vision beginning on your first day of employment401K with matchingTuition reimbursementEmployee stock purchase program12 company paid holidays and flexible time off (PTO for non-exempt)#LI-RemoteBase Pay Range - $182,800 - $228,500eHealth is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
