Position summary
Lead treasury (multi-currency), statutory accounting, tax, AP, billing, forecasting and budgeting, and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting under IFRS and US GAAP.
Experience in the Oil & Gas sector ideally with Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation (EPCI) projects is strongly preferred. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, proven leadership across multiple jurisdictions, and fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the finance function across the region : own P&L reporting, consolidation and month-end close for regional legal entities.
- Treasury & cash management : manage multi-currency cash pools, forecasts, bank relationships, short-term funding, liquidity planning and FX risk mitigation strategies.
- Accounts payable & billing : ensure efficient AP workflows, vendor management, billings and receivables processes; optimize working capital.
- Statutory books & compliance : ensure books are maintained per local statutory rules and filed on time (Brazil, Mexico, US state filings, and African jurisdictions).
- Accounting standards & external reporting : ensure compliance with IFRS for consolidation and local GAAP where required; coordinate external audits and statutory audits.
- Tax management : oversee income tax, VAT / GST / Sales Tax, withholding taxes and transfer pricing coordination; work with external advisors for local tax compliance (especially Brazil and Mexico).
- Financial planning & analysis : lead annual budget, monthly reforecasting, rolling forecasts and scenario modelling; provide commercial insights and KPI dashboards to the executive team.
- Internal controls & SOX / Regulatory readiness : design and maintain robust control environment across the region; coordinate remediation and process improvements.
- Systems & process improvement : lead ERP / FP&A tool improvements (SAP, consolidation tools); drive automation and centralization where appropriate.
- Team leadership : recruit, mentor and manage regional finance managers (local accounting, tax, treasury, AP / AR); set KPIs and career development plans.
- Cross-functional partnership : partner with Commercial, Legal, Ops and HR to support deal structuring, pricing, and business needs.
- Travel & on-site leadership : periodic on-site visits to Brazil, Mexico and African offices to support close, audits and tax interactions.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.15+ years progressive finance experience with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple countries / regions.Deep hands-on experience in treasury (multi-currency), tax compliance, statutory accounting and IFRS consolidation.Proven experience with AP, billing, collections and working capital optimization.Strong SAP experience and FP&A tooling.Demonstrated ability to manage external auditors and tax advisers across jurisdictions.Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.Languages : Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish mandatory.Preferred / nice to have
Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA or equivalent).Direct experience operating in Brazil (tax / regulatory complexity), Mexico, and / or Africa.Experience scaling finance for high-growth, matrixed, or multi-jurisdictional organizations.Direct Oil & Gas industry experience, ideally with Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation (EPCI) projects.Prior treasury operations experience with FX hedging, intercompany netting or shared service models.Familiarity with US reporting requirements for subsidiaries.Note :Please submit your CV in English version.
