This is a full-time on-site role for an Engineering Manager located in São Paulo, Brazil.

Our office is based in Pinheiros.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, managing software development processes, and leading a team of engineers.

Day-to-day tasks include project management, integrating various systems, and ensuring seamless collaboration among team members.

The role also involves setting goals, monitoring progress, and facilitating technical discussions to drive innovation and efficiency.Outcomes (What success looks like in year one)

System Reliability– Improve uptime and reduce critical incidents (target : Scalable Architecture– Partner with product and leadership to define and deliver a roadmap that scales our platform for 10x volume growth.

Engineering Processes– Implement effective agile practices, code review standards, and CI / CD pipelines to reduce cycle time by 30%.

Cross-Team Collaboration– Establish strong collaboration with product, design, and operations teams in Mexico and Brazil, with positive feedback from stakeholders.Competencies

Lead the use of AI-coding tools.

Lead and manage the engineering team in São Paulo (hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, team culture).

Drive execution of the product roadmap in collaboration with product and design teams.

Establish and maintain high engineering standards : code quality, testing, security, and scalability.

Own team ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retros) and foster a strong agile culture.

Act as thetechnical point of contactfor leadership, providing visibility on progress, risks, and opportunities.

Partner with product leadership to balance speed vs. quality trade-offs.
