Posting Details : Salary : $90,000 - $100,000; Grade : 27; Closing Date : Open Until Filled.Position SummaryThe Department of Economic Security, Division of Technology Services (DTS) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Applications Developer (Senior Informatica Developer).
This position is responsible for the complete lifecycle and management of ETL processes and database systems.
This role collaborates with business, development, and testing teams, facilitates accurate data reporting within organization standards, maintains 24 / 7 system availability, investigates issues, and researches opportunities for process improvements.
This individual provides technical guidance to junior developers and collaborates with business analysts and architects to contribute to projects that enhance system functionality and support business requirements.Work ArrangementThis position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based on department needs and meeting performance measures.The State of Arizona supports a work culture with flexibility, autonomy, and trust.
Remote work is subject to approval and not an entitlement.Job DutiesEssential duties include but are not limited to : Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; fix bugs or issues within the software.Document ETL processes, workflows, and best practices.Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data integration needs and implement solutions.Informatica Administration including monitoring running jobs, identifying performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting errors, and resolving issues related to data integration processes.Other duties as assigned related to the position.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge : Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.SQL and dimensional data models; data modeling experience for data warehouse design.REST APIs.Informatica Cloud, data warehousing concepts, and BI architecture.Data modeling / data warehouse design concepts.Different scripting languages.Azure DevOps.Skills : ETL data management, data warehousing design and implementation, administration.Developing, maintaining and testing IICS workflows.Testing and defect resolution.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.Ability : Translate business requirements into technical solutions.Work effectively independently or in a team.Prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks concurrently.Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.Write technical documentation.Use testing frameworks, databases and test environments.Selective Preference(s)This ideal candidate will have : Five plus years of advanced Informatica design and development skills using Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange.Experience in developing Informatica PowerCenter ETL mappings using Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager.Pre-Employment RequirementsBachelor's degree plus 8+ years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent).
