[Fully Remote] Full-Stack Software Engineer (Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, React, TypeScript)

Role Description

This is a fully remote contract role for a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Oleve, particularly those with strong backend and infrastructure skills. The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. Tasks include back-end web development using Python and FastAPI and front-end development using React and TypeScript. Additionally, the engineer will work with MongoDB databases and apply CSS for styling user interfaces. The engineer will also be involved in full-stack development activities, including participating in code reviews, debugging, and optimizing performance. You’ll leap into action when critical bugs or incidents arise, building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems to ensure problems are resolved before they affect our rapidly growing user base. Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on full-stack development, with a strong foundation in Python (Flask / FastAPI), MongoDB, React, React Native, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, database design principles, good UX fundamentals.
• Experience with managing and deploying to cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, Google.
• Proficient with Git and agile methodologies for efficient, collaborative software delivery.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), with an ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a passion for creating pixel-perfect UIs.
• Bonus : Prior startup experience or a willingness to take on multiple roles and responsibilities.
• Preferred : Prior exposure to data orchestration systems and distributed systems
