Role Overview

As our Social Media Video Editor, you will produce a high volume of short-form, vertical videos (15–90 seconds) tailored for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You’ll use tools like CapCut and Canva to create visually compelling, on-trend content featuring quick transitions, AI voiceovers, and dynamic storytelling elements. You’ll have a strong understanding of social media trends, audience engagement drivers, and the art of keeping viewers hooked from the first second.

Responsibilities

Edit and produce short-form vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, focused on brand narratives, trends, and audience-specific storytelling in sectors like Web3, music, entertainment, and e-commerce. Use CapCut and Canva to craft videos with quick, dynamic transitions, captions, motion graphics, and AI voiceovers. Integrate trending audio, sound effects, and background music to enhance viewer engagement and platform algorithms. Ensure all videos reflect engaging, narrative-driven vibes—immersive, relatable, and community-focused—while maintaining high entertainment value. Repurpose long-form content into short, platform-optimized clips. Stay up to date with current social media trends and content styles across diverse industries to maximize reach and retention. Collaborate with the content team to meet weekly deliverables and adapt to feedback quickly. Maintain visual consistency and brand identity across all videos.

Requirements

Proven experience editing short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts, with a strong portfolio of relevant work. Advanced proficiency in CapCut (mobile or desktop) and Canva. Demonstrated ability to produce high volumes of content with fast turnaround times. Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention techniques (hooks, quick cuts, meme effects, dynamic captions). Experience using AI voiceover tools and integrating them seamlessly into video edits. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.

Bonus Skills

Experience with motion graphics, thumbnail creation, or additional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.). Familiarity with content management systems and cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox). Prior work in digital media, marketing agencies, or brands in Web3, music, entertainment, or e-commerce.

Compensation for this position is location-based, and salary ranges will vary depending on the geographical location of the role. Below is a list of typical cities where the position may be posted, each with its corresponding salary range :

• Lisbon, Portugal : $30,000-$40,000 salary, $14-$16 an hour contract
• Mexico City, Mexico : $15,000 - $20,000 salary, $10-$15 an hour contract
• Sao Paulo, Brazil : $15,000 - $25,000 salary, $8-$15 an hour contract
• Buenos Aires, Argentina : $15,000 - $25,000 salary, $8-$15 an hour contract
