We use Slack, Clubhouse, Notion, Whimsical, Figma, and G Suite to collaborate and build together.What You Will DoStep into one of the most pivotal engineering roles at Firstbase — where you'll scale a high-growth org, lead mission-critical architecture, and shape the future of our platform through world-class execution, innovation, and technical excellence.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop high-quality software design and architecture using Vue, PHP, and GolangIdentify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development lifecycleBuild tools and applications by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable codeWrite, test, and review code in a collaborative environmentCollaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve our productsPartner with product and design to define, shape, and plan deliverablesMake sound technical decisions following best practices and engineering standardsIdentify and resolve issues that may affect product quality or business outcomesRequirementsLocation : Based in a LATAM country (this is a fully remote position)Technical Experience : 5+ years of experience with PHP in production environments2+ years of experience with Golang is a plusExperience with PHP frameworks such as Symfony or LaravelExperience with Vue, PostgreSQL, AWS, Redis, Docker Compose, GitLab CI, Stripe, and / or DatadogStartup Background : 2+ years in a similar role at a high-growth startupLeadership experienceAutonomy & Leadership : Ability to lead engineering efforts independentlyComfortable being the sole engineer in cross-functional initiativesWork Ethic & Mindset : Self-starter — able to identify problems and propose / execute solutions without heavy directionProactive ownership — consistently seeks out impactful work and drives it to completionCross-functional Collaboration : Experience working with non-technical teams such as product, marketing, and designCommunication : Strong English communication skills, both written and verbalArchitecture & Delivery : Proven ability to deliver well-architected, scalable solutionsPerks & benefitsCompetitive salary & equity : We pay top-tier because you deserve it — plus generous equity package so you can share in the success of the future we're building together.Generous raises & stock refreshers : Your impact deserves recognition.
