Overview

Our client, a prestigious New York-based law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its team.

This role supports the firm's litigation department by overseeing operational aspects, ensuring smooth case management, and maintaining compliance with legal procedures.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in written and oral English and fluent in spoken Spanish, with professional expertise in legal research, handling legal paperwork, and understanding New York laws and procedures.

U.S.-based law firm experience and Personal Injury experience are considered a plus.

What you'll be doing

Coordinate and manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings.

Organize and maintain case files, documents, and evidence in compliance with firm policies.

Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.

Facilitate communication and coordination between attorneys, clients, and external parties.

Conduct legal research on case laws, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation matters.

Monitor case timelines and ensure timely completion of legal tasks.

Assist in trial preparation and provide support during hearings and trials.

Implement and improve operational processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in litigation support.

Who are we looking for?

Proven experience as a paralegal or similar role within a law firm in New York.

Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in legal research, document management, and case management software.

Knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, and court rules in New York.

Spanish and English Fluency.
