Senior SQL Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on SQL Engineer with deep experience in Athena and PrestoSQL to join a high-performance data team. You’ll be responsible for writing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale SQL queries and data models that support analytical and reporting workflows across distributed data systems.

This role is purely technical — ideal for someone who loves diving into queries, tuning performance, and transforming raw data into reliable, production-ready outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large datasets in AWS Athena and PrestoSQL .
• Design, maintain, and improve data models (fact / dimension structures, partitioning, data integrity checks).
• Build and manage data outputs in CSV, Excel, or other analytical formats .
• Collaborate with data and business teams to translate data requirements into efficient SQL logic.
• Perform query tuning and cost optimization for S3-based storage environments.
• Monitor query performance, troubleshoot data issues, and ensure accuracy and consistency.
