Regional EHS ManagerThis position oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs across multiple sites inBrazil and Argentina,providing technical and tactical support with the goal of being "best in class" in the introduction and effectiveness of Tenneco EH&S strategies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAlignment across all plants of the actions required to achieve zero incidents.Ensure all required reporting is updated and accurate in a timely mannerTracking and follow up across all plants to ensure introduction timelines are met and actions closedIdentify and correct knowledge gaps within plant teamsFacilitate and "read across" of lessons learnt and follow up on the effectiveness at a plant levelDevelop, implement, and maintain regional EHS policies, procedures, and programs aligned with corporate standards and Brazilian regulationsEnsure compliance with relevant Brazilian and local EHS laws, including Regulatory Norm (NR) standards, environmental regulations, and labor health and safety lawsConduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions with the plant teamSupport the plant thorough incident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting to prevent recurrenceDeliver EHS training and awareness programs specially made to local workforce needsMinimum RequirementsEducationFour (4) year degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent; Relevant advanced degree preferredExperience7+ years of experience with an emphasis in environmental, health and safety program management and employee training.Required skillsMust have clear communication and writing skills in English.Proficiency to convey information at multiple levels of the organizationAbility to travel a minimum of 50% of the time with up to 75% travel to designated areas.Strong team-building skillsStrong organizational skills including ability to manage large number of disparate projects and to track projects through completionWorking knowledge of cross-functional EHS disciplinesProfessional certification preferred (Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent).
