We're seeking a Sales Development Representative based in Brazil, Mexico, or another country in Latin America to support expansion in LATAM.
The role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, highly motivated, and familiar with LATAM markets such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Qualification : Identify and research potential customers through inbound channels.
Qualify leads to ensure alignment with our ideal customer profile
Market Expansion : Execute region-specific strategies to grow Wati's footprint in LATAM, contributing to sales pipeline and revenue growth
Customer Engagement : Communicate with prospects via email, phone, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings to understand their needs and educate them on Wati's value proposition
Sales Collaboration : Work with Account Executives and Marketing to hand off qualified leads, provide market insights, and optimize campaigns
CRM & Reporting : Maintain accurate lead and opportunity records in the CRM and share regular updates with the regional team
Experimentation & Feedback : Test new outreach tactics, gather market feedback, and help shape go-to-market messaging for the region
Requirements
2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role—preferably in SaaS or tech
Deep understanding of the LATAM market and experience working with businesses in the region
Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish (comfortable with intermediate-level English for internal communication)
Comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho or other CRMs
Background as an SDR / AE in SaaS with a focus on conversational marketing is a bonus
Consultative sales mindset, resilience in handling objections, and curiosity to constantly learn and adapt
Passion for showing how automation and conversational experiences via WhatsApp can transform customer engagement for SMBs and enterprises
