Senior Power Bi Developer / Architect

About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer / Architect to take full ownership of our Power BI environment.

This person will be the go-to expert for everything related to Power BI : embedded reporting, performance optimization, deployment, visualization best practices, and governance.The ideal candidate is hands-on, deeply technical, and passionate about delivering high-performing, visually polished analytics experiences.

You won't be responsible for data modeling or ETL work — the datasets will be prepared for you — but you will be responsible for turning them into dynamic, reliable, and impactful Power BI experiences that scale.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of Power BI administration and development, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.Manage Power BI embedded reports, including integration with web applications and internal tools.Configure and maintain Power BI deployment pipelines for smooth promotion across environments.Perform performance tuning and optimization across reports, datasets, and DAX queries.Customize and enhance visuals using Deneb and other advanced visualization techniques.Edit and maintain JSON files for Deneb configurations and advanced Power BI customizations.Manage report access, permissions, and workspace organization.Partner with business and product teams to ensure reports are clear, actionable, and visually aligned with company standards.Required Skills & Experience5+ years of experience in Power BI development and administration.Proven experience with Power BI Embedded, deployment pipelines, and workspace management.Strong ability to optimize report performance and troubleshoot complex Power BI issues.Experience editing JSON files for configuration and visualization customization.Strong knowledge of DAX and Power BI internals.Excellent communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.Nice to HaveExperience with Deneb for custom visual storytelling.Expertise using background images and layout design for highly customized report visuals.Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other CI / CD tools for Power BI automation.Experience creating embedded analytics for client-facing products or portals.Why DeveloprosAt Developros, we connect top-tier, timezone-aligned technical professionals with leading U.S. companies.
