SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for guaranteeing strategies are in place for successful product guidelines and tactics on LSD, and for close collaboration with Regional and Global Brand Teams. The role also requires devising a clear marketing / access strategy to reinforce penetration of the brand, via distinct positioning, superior customer understanding, flawless sales force execution, and an effective access / commercial strategy to deliver growth and meet margins targets as defined by the budget process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead BioMarin’s business in LSD, including transversal local Brand Team (Medical, Access, PAGs, Compliance Operations, Regulatory).
- Understand regulatory and health system dynamics, including registration and reimbursement, to define business strategies.
- Lead Marketing, combining best-in-class marketing capabilities with understanding of physicians, patients and payers.
- Create comprehensive strategies to foster relationships with key medical classes, including non-traditional specialties for LSD.
- Lead effective marketing activities and investments to drive high-impact, high-return initiatives with established benchmarks (e.g., medical events annually, major local and global congresses, and internal round-table initiatives); establish efficient follow-up plans.
- Marketing budget negotiation, management, and adherence.
- Identify and prioritize resource needs in line with the defined business strategy and plans.
- Manage the long-term planning process, developing a clear and achievable 5-year strategic plan. Develop a compelling vision with clear brand priorities.
- Manage the development and implementation of brand plans.
- Ensure coordination with the sales force team to achieve excellence in execution.
- Establish clear governance across the brand team.
- Optimize cross-functional support, ensuring effective communication between direct reports, especially sales and marketing management, and with Commercial, Access, Regulatory and Medical teams.
- Manage professional networks at all levels of the global and regional organization.
- Establish appropriate marketing systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations and appropriate control, based on quality performance and ability to deliver on time.
- Oversee local marketing and sales investment according to priorities, ensuring cost-efficiency at all times.
- Champion compliance, reinforcing internal policies and ethical standards.
- Execute and supervise the organization of local marketing events, building and maintaining relations with key opinion leaders at the country level, as well as key partners.
- Work with external creative agencies to define and develop materials ready for field use after Regional MKT Approval.
- Support the corporate review process for promotional materials (PRB). Lead and execute local campaigns such as MPS Day and PR activities; ensure Regional MKT alignment.
- Support local marketing activities and materials for Patient Programs to increase funding and adherence.

EDUCATION
Demonstrated track records in complex marketing and / or commercial operations in fields of specialty care with execution focus.Strategic vision as well as results orientation.Majored in Marketing or MBA / Specialization in Marketing.Fluent English is mandatory; Intermediate Spanish is desired.Good planning and excellent organizational skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Collaboration and teamwork; Leadership skills.Problem solving and decision making; Proactivity and adaptability.Experience in People Management and Development.Good technical ability with : 1) Strategy Development 2) Rare Disease Marketing Dynamics 3) Brand Development and Management.EXPERIENCE
Experience as a Product / Marketing Specialist / Manager.Experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech / medical devices desirable.At least 4 years of experience.WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
