About the role

As a SDET Engineer, you'll own building and driving a modern testing culture.

You'll design and evolve automated testing frameworks, guide developers in adopting a shift-left approach, and ensure quality is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.

By combining Python expertise with testing excellence, you'll help deliver reliable, scalable software.

What you will do

Become the first SDET in the team and define how we approach testing

Drive the testing infrastructure and ensure high-quality standards across our product

Mentor and support developers to take ownership of their own testing

Collaborate with engineers to co-own and write automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance)

Promote a shift-left QA mindset, embedding testing throughout the development process

Continuously improve testing practices, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and reliability

Must have

Strong experience of at least 4 years as a Python engineer (building production systems)

Proven track record designing and implementing automated testing frameworks

Hands-on experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance / load testing

Product-focused mindset with curiosity about the bigger picture

Proactive, takes ownership, and responsible for outcomes

Bias for action : able to quickly test, iterate, and decide

Scrappy mindset : delivering business value over unnecessary perfection

Ability to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative environment with honesty and candor

Full overlap with Eastern European Time or at least 6+ hours

Upper-Intermediate English level

Nice to have

Experience with Python web frameworks (Django, FastAPI)

Frontend testing approaches and frameworks (Vue.js or React)

Early-stage startup experience

Experience building with LLMs or agentic AI systems
