Lead Connections & Distribution Engineer

Join our team as a Lead Connections & Distribution Engineer within the Global Manifold, Distribution & Connection (MDC) Systems Engineering & Technology group, dedicated to design of subsea equipment including manifolds and distribution systems, with a focus on connections and related equipment (clamp / hydraulic connectors, seals, hubs, caps, alignment structures, lifting / deployment equipment, testing equipment, ROV tools).

ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the full design cycle of subsea connection systems from concept development to final engineering release of parts, drawings and related documentation; interact with internal stakeholders and customers; may support fabrication and installation campaigns.Create 3D CAD models and drawings; prepare technical documents for internal and customer circulation; manage bills of materials (BOMs) in Teamcenter; coordinate internal peers and / or ESPs across the globe.Develop designs of subsea mechanical / clamp and hydraulic connectors in line with applicable international standards; arrange design reviews; provide documentation for manufacturing, assembly, testing and installation.Know design methodologies for subsea components with emphasis on connectors; apply main industry standards (ISO 13628; API 6A, 17D, 17R; ASME B31.3, B31.8; NACE MR 0175; DNVGL standards; NORSOK; EUROCODE).

Release engineering parts, drawings and documentation; work with Project Management / Planning, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality to meet quality, budget and schedule goals.Provide support during Test and Assembly activities; own design reviews including materials, manufacturing and safety / environmental considerations.Coordinate with customers in Portuguese and English; support manufacturing activities such as assemblies, tests, SITs, qualification tests and non-conformity management.QualificationsMSC or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Proficiency in communicating with customers in Portuguese and English.Experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with subsea equipment; emphasis on pre-salt and deepwater systems.Experience with Teamcenter, CREO; proficiency with Office suite is desirable but not mandatory.Expertise in design of subsea connection systems.Ability to work autonomously in a global multicultural environment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Team player with good communication; ability to coordinate internal and external contributors toward company goals.Willingness to travel when required.Work Style and LocationLocation : Macaé - RJWork in a Way That Works for YouFlexible working patterns offered, including flexible hours to fit individual productivity and preferences.About UsOur people are at the heart of what we do.
