Role : Datadog Engineer - SREContract Duration : 1 year (possible extension)Job Summary : Our client is seeking an experienced Datadog Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on international projects, leading monitoring initiatives and driving best practices in observability.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end monitoring projects, collaborating with application teams and stakeholders.Identify and resolve monitoring gaps and performance issues.Standardize tagging and continuously improve monitoring processes.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Implement SNMP for network infrastructure monitoring integrations (e.g., SolarWinds).

Integrate Datadog with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident handling and tracking.Develop and maintain documentation for Datadog configurations and processes.Train and mentor team members on Datadog best practices.Required Skills & QualificationsDatadog CertificationCertified in Datadog, demonstrating formal expertise.Hands-On ExperienceMinimum of 5 years actively working with Datadog, with deep familiarity across its ecosystem.Technical ExpertiseAdvanced knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and Log Ingestion.Proficient in Terraform, Python, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.Strong background in incident managementFamiliarity with cost optimization strategies.Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.Professional AttributesProactive mindset with leadership qualities.A self-starter who can independently resolve issues and manage projects without micromanagement.Strong English communication skills, essential for daily interaction with end-users.A team player who collaborates effectively and communicates clearly.
