Job Description
The Applied Business Course Instructor is an important part of the instructional team.
With a strong focus on the academic success of every student, instructors use their subject matter expertise, deep understanding of the curriculum, and student population to :
Identify trends impeding academic success.
Conduct targeted outreach and provide instruction to target groups and individuals.
Build capable learners confident in their ability to succeed academically and in life.
Facilitate learning through posts, announcements, emails, one-on-one virtual meetings, and videos.
Communicate regularly with students about participation and performance, ensuring effective instruction and mentoring.
Develop meaningful relationships with all students through consistent communication.
Use department-created training materials to execute outreach plans based on student trends and needs.
Track communication histories and plan follow-ups appropriately.
Participate in training meetings to receive guidance and feedback.
Apply feedback to improve performance.
Part-Time Schedule
At least 5 days worked each week
Required attendance at periodic team meetings

Responsibilities
The instructor has overall teaching and course delivery responsibilities, and supports student learning through the outreach and mentoring processes.
Qualifications
A master's degree in business, finance, or economics (minimum) and three years of relevant professional experience.
High proficiency with Excel and financial statement analysis.
Understanding of financing, capital budgeting, and capital structure.
Understanding of macroeconomic indicators and economic models.
Fluency in English and Portuguese (required).
Experience with online teaching, especially with at-risk learners (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, video conferencing, and discipline-specific software.
Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
Additional Documentation Requirements
Official transcript of a completed master's degree.
Copy of diploma showing the date of degree completion.
