The Tax Manager will oversee tax compliance, reporting, and transfer pricing for the company in Argentina. This role ensures consistent tax procedures, compliance with local regulations, and the proactive identification of tax planning opportunities to optimize the company’s financial position. The Manager will also support and guide the tax team, maintaining efficiency and accuracy in line with corporate policies and local law.
Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Lead the tax reporting and compliance process, ensuring timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect taxes.
- Monitor updates in Argentine tax legislation, recommending necessary adjustments.
- Review and approve corporate income tax calculations and filings.
- Oversee tax reconciliations and ensure alignment with financial statements.
- Coordinate tax forecasts and Effective Tax Rate (ETR).
- Maintain comprehensive tax documentation to support audits and internal controls.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize fiscal outcomes within legal boundaries.
- Oversee transfer pricing compliance and related documentation.
- Identify tax risks and cost-saving opportunities in business operations.
- Advise on tax implications for new structures, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Serve as primary contact with Argentine tax authorities—handling inquiries, audits, and disputes.
- Manage tax litigation and legal matters with internal and external counsel.
- Respond to tax assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Deliver tax training and awareness programs to enhance internal efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum 10 years in Tax, Legal, or Accounting roles within medium to large organizations. Experience at a Big 4 firm is advantageous.Education : Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, or Business Administration.Language : Fluent proficiency in English is required.Skills
