Profitable and self-funded since the start, they’ve scaled without major layoffs and rebuilt their entire platform in 2023 to prepare for the next phase of growth. With a progressive mission supporting diverse sexualities and relationship styles, they’re now focused on scaling to 5M+ users with new features, improved matching, and modernized infrastructure.

Your Role :

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you’ll be part of a 6-person squad focused on delivering secure, scalable features across both backend services and mobile experiences. A strong background in React Native is essential for success in this mobile-first product.

Key Responsibilities

Build and scale backend services in Node.js + TypeScript

Contribute to React Native features across iOS and Android

Design secure, testable, cloud-native systems on AWS (DynamoDB, GraphQL future)

Collaborate with squad leads on architecture and product design

Support trust, safety, and member experience through strong engineering

Participate in AM / PM standups across global time zones

Ensure stability and performance at multi-million user scale

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering, with backend depth (Node.js, TypeScript)

Experience with mobile-first products (React Native required)

Strong AWS knowledge (DynamoDB, microservices, serverless patterns)

Background working on scaled consumer products (social, marketplace, or H2H apps)

Clear English communication for distributed, async-first collaboration

Collaborative mindset—open to feedback, avoids rigid “my way” approaches

Comfort aligning with progressive, sex-positive product values

Bonus Points

Familiarity with GraphQL

Experience with personalization, recommendation, or matching algorithms

Work in trust / safety engineering or security-first squads

API design that balances performance and user experience
