We are rebranding from Gympass to Wellhub and expanding our app experience and partner network.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our BASE Focus Area (Tagus team) in Brazil.At the Tagus team, we build the heart of the Wellhub business model.

Our mission is to help Wellhub build a truly scalable platform to support dozens of millions of active users, clients, and partners around the world with high availability while being flexible and extensible to incorporate new business models.We have important challenges such as building a system that supports different commercial conditions for different users in different contexts.

We are responsible for critical flows within our business model, including clients\' and users\' subscriptions and providing data to the ecosystem as the source of truth for these entities.Technically, our team provides highly scalable solutions, handles large data volumes, and focuses on high availability.

As a central service, you will help drive architecture decisions across our microservices ecosystem and have opportunities to develop both leadership and technical skills based on your career goals.Your ImpactParticipate in the development of some of the most critical and challenging services in our ecosystem, aiming for long-term, sustainable solutions.Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience;Build integration with 3rd party APIs and tools;Support existing systems to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform to meet product demands;Work in a collaborative and agile environment that prioritizes people over process and is laser-focused on productivity;Work with cutting-edge technologies and edge cases on a global scale.Who You AreAn engineer with a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;Experience architecting large-scale multi-tier applications;Experience designing and developing complex modern web applications;Experience with Cloud-based architectures (AWS / GCP);Experience developing RESTful web services collaborating with front-end teams to create mocks, define payloads and follow HTTP best practices;Experience applying computer science fundamentals : data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;Experience with SQL / NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB and understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls;Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java / Ruby / Go / C++ / etc.); Golang is a plus;Strong communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams located in several countries with different cultures;Ability to articulate ideas clearly when speaking to groups in English.We encourage all applicants to apply even if they don't meet every listed requirement.
