QUALITY LEAD

The Regional Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality functions and performance for the region.

The Regional Quality Lead will address significant quality-related circumstances and key customer concerns in an effort to improve the overall quality of our production and service. This position will also assess the overall health of the quality environment in all the regional plants, and advise / execute on actions to remedy gaps, weaknesses, and risks in identified plants. This person will also make a significant contribution to improving the overall quality, responsiveness, and reputation.

Job Responsibilities :

Address current, significant quality issues in product supplied in their specific region to key customers.

Lead problem solving teams.

Assess solution effectiveness, and report resolutions to customers.

Monitor Quality KPI with the plants.

Support on scrap management systems development and improvements.

Assess quality systems health.

Audit Plants in the region as-needed in order to assess the quality operating systems and gaps to expected levels.

Maintain knowledge of customer, international organizations and industry specifics requirements as things change and evolve.

Assist with training of quality (and quality impacted) resources in the plants and technology centers.

Provide training to specific areas.

Communicate actively and effectively with management, Corporate Quality and Senior Leadership, as-needed.

Conduct Management reviews of the Quality System as required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, required.

Certification in Quality and Program Management is preferred.

Experience

Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment.

Proven Experience in an Automotive OE (Original Equipment) setting is a must

Professional Certifications :

Relevant ASQ certifications

IATF 16949 / ISO 9001, VDA

Six Sigma Certifications is strongly a plus
