Role Overview

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing documentation that supports cybersecurity operations, compliance, and awareness. This includes security policies, incident response plans, audit reports, and technical manuals. The role demands close collaboration with cybersecurity engineers, architects, and program managers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and regulatory alignment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain documentation for cybersecurity domains such as:
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Threat Detection & Response
• Forensics & Incident Handling
• Vulnerability Management
• Translate complex security concepts into clear, actionable content for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create SOPs, runbooks, and compliance documentation aligned with standards like NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
• Document security workflows, architecture diagrams, and system configurations.
• Support PRF (Position Request Form) documentation and domain/sub-domain mapping for hiring and onboarding.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure documentation reflects current tools, processes, and threat landscapes.
• Participate in security reviews, audits, and training sessions to gather insights for documentation.
• Maintain version control and ensure timely updates post security changes or tool upgrades.

📚 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience in technical writing for cybersecurity or IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks.
• Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Markdown, MS Word).
• Familiarity with SIEM, PAM, IAM, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation streams.
