As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will work and act as a leader in a team to develop and support products within the Technology and Project's groups. You will perform scientific and engineering efforts and coordinate other engineers in task related to the design of new products and services, as well as new designs for customer projects. You will deliver projects through the stages of design, verification, production and commercialization.

Senior System & Project Engineer , you will be responsible for :

  • Controlling Scope and daily tasks with expertise and in alignment to project and tender schedule.
  • Planning tasks and coordinating a multidisciplinary engineering team and capturing their skill sets to best serve the project task.
  • Ensuring and promoting good communication across different stakeholders and engineering disciplines.
  • Showing and carrying constant work organization tightness.
  • Working collaborative with a global engineering community.
  • Communicating with Customers in both Portuguese and English ensuring customer satisfaction and participation in the tender or project process.
  • Developing Project deliverables, reviewing and approving the work of others, such as but not limited to manufacturing drawings, schematics, P&IDs, procedures, reports, etc.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will :

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical, Electrical or other Engineering bachelors is required.
  • Have experience with Subsea FEED / Project / Product Engineer background. Emphasis required on pre-salt and deepwater Christmas Tree systems
  • Proficiency in communicating with Customers in both Portuguese and English.
  • Experience with PETROBRAS Qualification Projects required
  • System engineering background required with multidisciplinary engineering expertise. Holistic view at system level and interface management are mandatory for this role.
  • Expertise in lean and continuous improvement strategies are paramount. Background in leading and coordinating cost-out exercises is appreciated.
  • A Solution and Cost driven mindset.
  • Proactiveness and engagement to cover daily tasks.
  • Quick learning and resilience skill sets to a changing scenario.
  • Ability to work and / or support more than two projects running in parallel.
  • Availability to travel and to represent Baker Hughes in technical workshops and fairs.
  • Desirable

  • Skilled in Engineering Database set up and configuration (SAP or Team Center)
  • Masters or Pos-graduation in Engineering, Business and / or Project Management
  • International experience.
  • Skilled in Engineering based software’s (Autocad, Creo, Solid Works, Visio, MSP)
