We are looking for a seasoned, strategic, and visionary Enterprise Architect , Director to take on a pivotal leadership role in our E-Commerce domain as a key member of our Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence.

In this role, you will shape business-wide strategy and architecture for our digital commerce platforms while driving executive-level collaboration, leading multifunctional teams, influencing stakeholders at the highest levels of the organization, and playing a crucial role in shaping long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the strategic, enterprise-wide architectural vision for the eCommerce domain, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals, industry trends, and technological opportunities
  • Lead, inspire, and empower solution architecture teams while providing mentorship and development opportunities for senior architects and managers, fostering a high-performance and innovation-driven culture
  • Collaborate closely with executive business leaders and organizational stakeholders to drive decision-making and prioritize complex strategic initiatives, features, and capabilities required for the eCommerce platform / stores
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the C-Suite and other senior executives, ensuring architecture strategies enable long-term growth and align with broader digital transformation goals
  • Direct and oversee the design of complex, scalable, and enterprise-compliant architecture models, taking into account both operational scalability and governance requirements at the highest level
  • Translate high-level, multi-dimensional business requirements into actionable and detailed strategies, ensuring alignment with the future state architecture while enabling cross-functional collaboration
  • Establish, manage, and enforce architectural governance frameworks across engineering and solution teams to ensure seamless integration, optimized systems, and adherence to strict enterprise standards
  • Develop and sustain executive relationships and strategic partnerships with key business stakeholders, aligning technical deliverables to drive business success and competitive edge
  • Monitor, analyze, and continuously shape the eCommerce architecture to deliver measurable business outcomes, optimize system performance, and support evolving business KPIs and long-term objectives
  • Drive collaboration within complex, multi-vendor environments and international teams, ensuring architectural cohesion and adaptability to diverse regional requirements and priorities
  • Serve as a thought leader on emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in architectural best practices, integrating high-level innovation recommendations into enterprise strategies
  • Establish and champion enterprise-wide architectural principles, frameworks, and long-term roadmaps to align with organizational growth and digital transformation strategies

Requirements

  • Extensive Enterprise Architecture experience in the eCommerce domain (12+ years), with demonstrated success in leading complex, global projects and multifunctional teams across multiple business units
  • At least 4 years of experience as an Enterprise or Solution Architect, directly managing teams and owning critical architecture deliverables
  • Deep expertise in eCommerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, SAP Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, or Commercetools, and their integration with broader enterprise ecosystems across domains
  • Proven history of eliciting, interpreting, and converting high-stakes business requirements and strategic objectives into actionable architecture plans for enterprise impact
  • Advanced and expansive knowledge of enterprise systems, integrations, cross-platform dependencies, API management, and microservices architecture, ensuring organizational interoperability
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage, influence, and mentor cross-functional teams while driving enterprise-wide architectural initiatives
  • Significant experience collaborating in complex global, multi-vendor ecosystems to deliver cohesive, large-scale architectural solutions in diverse regulatory environments
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with C-Suite executives and senior business leaders, aligning enterprise strategies with transformational technological roadmaps
  • Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of enabling long-term business growth through architectural excellence and measurable system impact
  • In-depth expertise in Agile methodologies, the system development lifecycle, architectural frameworks, and governance models, such as TOGAF, SAFe, or similar
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills, complemented by proficiency in producing high-quality technical documentation and fluency in English at a minimum of C1 level
