Controls Engineer – Sustaining
to help keep our systems running smoothly around the world. This is a
hands-on, global support role
that bridges
Field Services
and
R&D Controls Engineering . You’ll remotely monitor and troubleshoot our automated machinery at hatcheries across
Brazil, Thailand, Italy, Spain , and North America — ensuring uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement of our control systems.
What You’ll Do Remotely monitor TARGAN systems via
cloud dashboards, PLC access, and on-machine interfaces . Provide real-time technical support to field technicians via
Teams and other communication tools . Analyze hatchery performance data and participate in
weekly global team meetings
to share insights and best practices. Serve as part of the
escalation process
when issues impact customer operations, coordinating with internal engineering teams. Support ongoing
refinement and optimization
of control and electrical systems.
What You Bring Proven ability to
troubleshoot PLCs remotely
and interpret electrical schematics. Solid understanding of
electro-mechanical systems ,
Ethernet networks , and
industrial fieldbus protocols
(EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, etc.). Familiarity with
industrial control languages
(ladder logic, structured text, function block) and
HMI systems . Experience with tools such as
AutoCAD Electrical
or
SolidWorks Electrical
is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and field teams.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science , or related field preferred. Fluent in
English
and at least one of :
Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or Thai . 3–5+ years of experience in
engineering support
or
industrial automation ; equivalent hands-on experience considered. Willingness to work
second or third shift (EST)
to align with international time zones. Comfortable working cross-functionally with R&D, Field Services, and Operations teams.
