• Leader of Tax Department, dealing with all aspects of the tax lifecycle, including compliance, accounting, planning, auditing and disputes.
• Captured relevant indirect taxes opportunities by reviewing business operations from a tax standpoint, as well as negotiating tax incentives with government authorities.
• Tax : Income Tax specialist (CIT), FAS 109 appliance, VAT Methodology Tax / FIN 48 and Tax plan.
• Working knowledge of Brazilian and LATAM tax regimes (In Brazil, mainly ICMS, ST, And DIFAL).
• Accounting knowledge (US GAAP and IFRS)
• Corporate Income Tax and VAT : compliance and credit opportunities
• Management of multicultural and multi located teams (direct and indirect / outsourced)
• Solid experience in Finance and Tax Restructuring - Strategic Organization and Transformational Leadership;
• Team building to innovate; develop; inspire; ask what and why; challenge the status quo and do the right things;
• Strong knowledge in ERP systems and implementation of tax modules
• Optimization of tax calculation and tax closing process;
• Previous experience leading teams across Latam;
• Tax Innovation : tax data analytics using BI and Web tool based on actual and forecast figures, including entity EBT analysis.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, and desirable to speak Spanish
