Unix Linux System Administrator

Your role and responsibilities :

Lead L2 / L3 production and project support for Linux environments

Manage installations, patching, migrations, and scripting (Shell & Perl)

Troubleshoot hardware / software issues across Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and AIX

Optimize system performance and availability

Coach and mentor team members

Work with ITIL-based tools and monitoring systems

Requirements and Qualifications :

Hands-on experience in Linux and Unix systems

Deep expertise in filesystem, volume, and storage management

Strong knowledge of networking, clustering (PCS), and system hardening

Familiarity with SAN / NAS, backup tools (TSM, VEEAM), and storage suites (EMC, NetApp, Hitachi)

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Flexibility to work weekends and non-standard hours

Advanced English

Bonus Points : Linux certification

German language skills

Experience with Veritas Cluster, Apache, DNS, DHCP, LDAP
