Portuguese Bilingual Litigation Paralegal

Job Descriptions:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, along with exceptional organizational skills. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. This position requires proficiency in legal drafting and familiarity with tools such as Westlaw.
Responsibilities
Draft, prepare, file, and serve complaints, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation documents in accordance with court rules and deadlines.
Oversee litigation docketing and calendar management to ensure all deadlines and court requirements are met accurately and on time.
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources to support case preparation.
Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
Maintain organized files for all cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to-date.
Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents with the court.
Provide administrative support within the law office as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation.
Experience drafting, filing, and serving legal documents, including complaints, motions, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and other court filings.
Proven experience managing attorney court calendars, calculating litigation deadlines, and ensuring compliance with court rules and filing requirements.
Strong understanding of the litigation process from case inception through trial preparation.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Bilingual: English and Portuguese speaker (written and verbal).
