Space Control & Transshipment Analyst

Main responsibilities and assignments: Connection Planning & Management: - Review, plan and coordinate vessel connection schedules with Space Control (SPC) to ensure timely transshipment execution and prevent operational complications. - Monitor regional ports to guarantee compliance with connection standards, taking into account cargo priorities and port capacity. - Evaluate and propose strategies to mitigate risks and reduce dwell time at transshipment ports. Operational Monitoring & Coordination: - Provide consolidated operational reports, identifying critical ports or regional trends that require special attention. - Share transshipment projections with Marketing/Pricing team to monitor cargo trends across different ports - Monitor cargo flow (TS) volumes in all LAM ports - Coordinate with Local offices to implement necessary cargo adjustments (in case of overbookings, move count restrictions or other operational restrictions). Booking Validation & Routing: - Verify routing logic for bookings - Control and manage bottlenecks to proactively advise on potential delays or service capacity increases - Analyze and coordinate with SPC recovery plan for vessels, including necessary adjustments like skip ports or additional cargo discharge. KPI & Regulatory Compliance: - Measure and report the cargo dwell time across LAM ports and status of any existing operational backlog - Alert Procurement team related issues generating additional costs from terminal or carrier sources - Maintain updated knowledge of LAM port regulations to ensure full compliance and avoid penalties or issues impacting the client experience. Regular meetings: with Global Office, Regional Offices (other regions) and LAM countries to align Transshipment strategy.
