How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW

Guide and deliver strategic projects ensuring high quality standards adherence to deadlines and overall process efficiency.
Cultivate cybersecurity governance in industrial environments (OT) supporting alignment with global policies risk awareness protection of critical assets and collaborative management of plant-level incidents.

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Map operational bottlenecks and identify automation opportunities that enhance energy efficiency and process safety while supporting loss reduction across sites. Ensure project delivery within the approved scope schedule quality standards and budget.
• Guide the execution of new automation projects originating from the Corporate Group as well as co-design and implement continuous improvements at LATAM sites.
• Development programming configuration parameterization and optimization of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Provide specialized technical support and partner closely with teams to address complex challenges in automation and control systems at the sites.
• Ensure open communication and smooth integration between the shop floor (instrumentation/DCS/PLC) and upper supervisory and management layers (SCADA MES historians).
• Train local teams (operations and maintenance) on newly installed systems (projects) and foster shared awareness regarding industrial cybersecurity risks.
• Coordinate the mapping of critical automation assets supporting action plans to remediate non-conformities and monitoring cybersecurity incidents in close collaboration with site teams.
• Coordinate the mapping of critical automation assets define protection needs and help monitor and mitigate cyber risks and incidents in the manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate thoughtful problem-solving skills to address project-related challenges and team resource needs supporting well-informed timely decisions on technical areas.
• Advance key high-level and detailed priorities through to the successful delivery and implementation of the OT program (OPC Latam).
• Ensure the strategy supports all necessary Local OPC capabilities including business rules management process orchestration task coordination monitoring and reporting according to OT program needs.

Do you have these requirements

• Qualifications & Experience: (Ideally you bring a mix of the following education certifications and experience)
• Bachelors in Engineering - Control and Automation Electrical Mechatronics Computer Engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on experience in the operation programming and advanced problem-solving of large-scale DCS and PLC systems (e.g. Siemens Yokogawa Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Emerson DeltaV ABB or Schneider).
• Fluent/Advanced in English.
• Spanish intermediary/advanced.

Skills and Competencies: (list technical & core skills soft skills behavioral competencies etc.)

• Having a proactive team-oriented safety mindset.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect and partner with leadership.
• Practical knowledge of advanced process control. Ability to read a P&ID mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Demonstrated background in supporting industrial automation projectsfrom technical conception to commissioning/start-upwith a focus on enhancing operational efficiency (OEE).

Knowledge of IT & Industrial Networks (IT/OT):

• Proficiency in the OPC protocol (DA/UA) and industrial integration architectures.
• Practical knowledge of network infrastructure: TCP/IP concepts VLANs routing managed switches and industrial firewalls.
• Operational understanding of IT servers virtualized environments (e.g. VMware/Hyper-V) and factory operating systems.
• Cibersegurança OT: Familiaridade com conceitos e normas de cibersegurança industrial (ex: ISA/IEC 62443) e aplicação de políticas de segurança em plantas fabris.

Mobility:

• Availability for travel to oversee commissioning and collaborate during on-site audits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Airgas / Air Liquide industry and/or COGEN operations experience.
• Project Management certification (PMP/PMI or Agile methodologies).
• Certification or formal training in Industrial Cybersecurity (e.g. GICSP ISA/IEC 62443).
• Experience with industrial databases Historians and integration with MES/ERP systems.
• Previous background in multinational companies with a matrix structure.
