About The Position

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team at our São Paulo/SP or Porto Alegre/RS offices. As part of the Engineering department, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing highly concurrent systems in Rust and/or C/C++, optimizing performance, distributed caching, and connection management to handle thousands of requests per second with low latency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance systems using Rust and/or C/C++, depending on the team's technical needs;
• Design and implement highly concurrent and asynchronous applications capable of handling thousands of requests per second with low latency;
• Optimize system performance, including memory usage, CPU utilization, throughput, and latency;
• Develop and maintain components related to distributed caching, connection management, load balancing, automatic reconnections, and backpressure;
• Work with network and application protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS;
• Develop and maintain scalable and resilient services running in Linux/Unix environments;
• Contribute to the architecture and evolution of distributed and high-performance systems;
• Collaborate on secure development practices, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software automation;
• Troubleshoot and investigate performance, networking, and system-level issues.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in software or systems development using Rust or C/C++;
• Experience or solid understanding of low-level programming, systems development, or high-performance applications;
• Understanding of Internet and networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS;
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments;
• Knowledge of software architecture and distributed systems concepts;
• Experience with Git;
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automation pipelines;
• Familiarity with secure software development practices;
• Intermediate English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with highly concurrent, asynchronous, or multi-threaded systems;
• Experience with TCP and UDP communication, sockets, or packet troubleshooting;
• Experience with distributed systems, caching, high-performance web/cloud servers, or multi-tenant applications;
• Knowledge or experience with Nginx, OpenResty, Caddy, Envoy, or similar HTTP proxy/cache technologies;
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes;
• Experience with automated testing, including unit, functional, integration, or E2E tests;
• Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps practices;
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or similar platforms;
• Understanding of REST APIs;
• Knowledge of Internet protocol RFCs;
• Experience with Edge Computing, CDN, or globally distributed systems;
• Knowledge of HTTP/3 and QUIC;
• Experience with near real-time applications.
