Head of IT Brazil & LATAM

The role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead the technology operations and transformation agenda across Brazil and the broader Latin American region. This role is pivotal in executing the Group's strategic IT roadmap, ensuring the stability of core business-critical platforms while driving digital innovation and operational excellence. The successful candidate will oversee a diverse portfolio of initiatives, balancing the sustainment of current operations with the enhancement of future capabilities, all while maintaining strict cost discipline.

Key responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operating Model:

• Spearhead the "One LATAM IT Team" initiative, fostering a highly collaborative and functional matrix across regional operations.

• Define and drive the regional IT strategy in alignment with the Group's overarching business plan, focusing on growth support, cost efficiency, and system stability.

• Actively participate in portfolio management decisions, exercising senior-level judgment to prioritize investments and manage trade-offs under budget constraints.

Platform Stabilization & Transformation:

• Lead the stabilization and scalability efforts for the organization's proprietary, business-critical platforms, addressing legacy components and restructuring support models.

• Orchestrate the seamless integration of regional operations into the global Dynamics 365 ecosystem.

• Oversee the successful deployment and optimization of internal digital platforms and enterprise resource planning tools.

Vendor Management & Legacy Systems:

• Strengthen vendor governance for critical legacy ERP systems (specifically Senior), managing contracts, technical debt, and integration risks.

• Develop and execute succession strategies for legacy platforms, ensuring uninterrupted business continuity across finance, supply chain, and human resources functions.

• Navigate complex vendor relationships to maximize value and mitigate operational bottlenecks.

Data, AI & Security:

• Champion the adoption of advanced data and artificial intelligence capabilities, leveraging platforms such as Snowflake and PowerBI to drive predictive analytics and operational insights.

• Enforce a "Security First" mandate, ensuring all regional operations are fully aligned with global security standards and best practices.

• Challenge and guide specialized teams in data science and cybersecurity, providing the necessary technical fluency to ensure strategic alignment without micromanaging technical execution.

Qualifications & experience

Professional Background:

• Proven track record as a senior IT leader managing complex, multi-country operations within the LATAM region.

• Extensive experience in balancing operational sustainment (stabilization) with strategic transformation initiatives.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale ERP environments, particularly with legacy systems like Senior, alongside modern cloud-based solutions.

Technical Proficiency:

• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, and digital transformation methodologies.

• Hands-on or strong orchestration experience with Dynamics 365, Snowflake, PowerBI, and proprietary business-critical platforms.

• Solid foundation in cybersecurity principles and IT governance frameworks.

Leadership & Soft Skills:

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing both regional business leaders and global Group executives.

• Strong change management capabilities, with a proven ability to build and mature cross-functional matrix teams.

• High level of financial acumen, with a history of managing substantial IT budgets and optimizing operational costs.

• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
