About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Discovery Analyst (Due Diligence Specialist) to support M&A (Merger & Acquisition) discovery and due diligence activities within IT Infrastructure and Digital systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical understanding across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments, and will play a critical role in identifying, documenting, and assessing systems and data repositories of acquisition targets.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure smooth integration, transition, and risk mitigation during M&A activities.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and document new and existing systems, applications, data repositories, SaaS solutions, and digital systems targeted for M&A activities.
Conduct virtual and onsite discovery sessions to assess IT environments of acquisition targets.
Capture and document the IT infrastructure and networking landscape , highlighting security risks and recommending remediation actions.
Analyze and report on applications, cloud services, and digital assets to support due diligence and migration planning.
Collaborate with business leaders, architects, IT teams, and vendors to produce high-quality system documentation , including high / low-level designs, build documents, and DR (Disaster Recovery) materials.
Identify required user access, dependencies, and system interconnections to support integration and disposition planning.
Prepare and present discovery reports, due diligence findings, and progress updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Support transition and migration activities post-discovery, ensuring systems are accurately documented and compliant with enterprise standards.

Technical Skills – Primary

Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure , including Telephony, End-User Devices (EUD), Printing, Data, Applications, and Digital platforms .

Expertise in Cloud Services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, DaaS), Microservices , and APIs .

Proficiency in technologies such as Citrix, VMWare, Exchange, HP Hardware, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SAN Storage, SCCM, M365, and Azure .

Solid knowledge of how applications interact with Windows Operating Systems .

Experience in M&A processes , including IT Infrastructure due diligence, transition, and digital / application migration .

Technical Skills – Secondary (Nice to Have)

Experience or knowledge of insurance industry systems , technologies, and vendors.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Adaptable, collaborative, and supportive of change and evolving priorities .
