DESCRIPTIONAmazon's Transportation Team is looking for a Sustainable Transportation Manager to partner with business functions to develop a robust Program to advance our Climate Pledge commitment of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by Key job responsibilities Analyze and track carbon emissions across transportation networks and facilitiesDevelop and implement OTR and UTR cross-functional emission reduction strategies to support our 2040 net-zero carbon goalCreate incentive programs for Third-Party (3P) carriers adopting low- or zero-emission vehicles Drive data-based improvements to achieve both environmental and business objectivesDevelop and implement community engagement initiatives aligned with the Transportation business.A day in the lifeData Analysis & Monitoring Analyze transportation emissions data from multiple sourcesMonitor carbon emissions trends across networks and facilitiesBe accountable to dashboards for emissions trackingGenerate regular reports on progress toward emission reduction goalsStrategy Development & Implementation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design emission reduction initiativesEvaluate potential carbon reduction technologies and solutionsDevelop implementation roadmaps for approved strategiesMonitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented programsAdjust strategies based on performance data and outcomesCarrier Program Management Design and manage incentive programs for Third-Party (3P) carriersReview carrier applications and ensure compliance with program requirementsTrack the adoption of low- or zero-emission vehicles by carriers Calculate and distribute incentives based on defined program metricsMaintain strong relationships with carriers and provide ongoing program supportStakeholder Engagement Present progress updates and key findings to leadershipParticipate in industry working groups and sustainability forumsShare best practices and success stories internally and externallyResearch & Innovation Stay up to date with trends in sustainable transportationResearch emerging technologies and innovative solutionsEvaluate the feasibility and impact of new clean transportation technologiesAbout the teamThe Sustainable Transportation & Reverse Operations (STRO) team is a newly established division within Amazon's Transportation organization in Brazil .
