What You'll DoOur Managed Services team is seeking a Technology Consultant to take a pivotal role in our Buy-side Reporting Client and Managed Services team.This position offers an opportunity to become a subject-matter expert in FactSet's premier financial software solutions, particularly focusing on Client Reporting.You will be expected to assist our clients with their business and technical requests, questions, and queries from the Reporting suite of products that Client Solutions covers.
One of the main responsibilities of this role is to ensure the nominal operation of environments, by using our monitoring platforms and running ad-hoc checks on servers, databases and other components of the reporting platforms we service.
Responsibilities :Participate in project-based work, including change requests, software upgrades, and other non-Business-As-Usual activities.Facilitate integration of FactSet systems using APIs, Web Services, automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools; tasks may involve programming, scripting, and database management.Automate client environments and design complex workflows, managing the complete flow of financial data—data loads, checks, calculations, extracts, and reporting.Monitor and advise on client environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations with advanced monitoring platforms.Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to client architecture, including software testing and specific investigations.Deepen product knowledge across various modules, focusing on technical aspects such as system architecture, application server setup, and database tuning.Collaborate with global sales specialists, consultants, and clients to provide operational support and enhance user satisfaction.What We're Looking ForRequired Skills :University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics.At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience.Exceptional communication skills, especially in client-facing scenarios.Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.Fluency in English both written and verbal.Desired Skills :Stored Procedures writing and debuggingPerformance tuning of SQL codeFamiliar with some of the major DBMS like Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.Application server setup (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss / WildFly)Web Services, APIs, XML, JSONHTML syntax familiarityExperience with programming or scripting languages, e.g. shell, Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, VBA, etc.Knowledge of financial instruments or related softwareAny experience in Financial ReportingTechnical skills with financial software applicationsWorking with Excel (data and chart manipulation through VBA and other functions)Windows Servers, IISSAML configuration / setupWhat's In It For YouAt FactSet, our people are our greatest asset, and our culture is our biggest competitive advantage.Being a FactSetter means :
