We are seeking an experienced Application Performance Monitoring (APM) engineer to lead our monitoring initiatives and drive best practices in observability.As a seasoned APM professional, you will play a crucial role in leading end-to-end monitoring projects, collaborating with application teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
Your expertise in Datadog will enable you to identify and resolve monitoring gaps and performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end monitoring projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.Identify and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert solutions to critical problems.Implement SNMP for network infrastructure monitoring integrations, such as SolarWinds, to expand monitoring capabilities.Integrate Datadog with ticketing systems, like ServiceNow, for incident handling and tracking, streamlining workflows and enhancing collaboration.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Datadog configurations and processes, ensuring easy access and understanding for team members.Train and mentor team members on Datadog best practices, promoting knowledge sharing and expertise development.Required Skills & QualificationsDatadog Certification, demonstrating formal expertise and commitment to excellence.Certified in Datadog, showcasing advanced knowledge and proficiency.Hands-On Experience : minimum of 5 years actively working with Datadog, with deep familiarity across its ecosystem.Technical Expertise : advanced knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and Log Ingestion, ensuring thorough understanding and implementation.Proficient in Terraform, Python, and container orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes, for efficient deployment and management.Strong background in incident management, enabling effective response and resolution.Familiarity with cost optimization strategies, promoting resourcefulness and responsible utilization.Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus, offering additional skills and expertise.Professional AttributesA proactive mindset with leadership qualities, driving innovation and progress.A self-starter who can independently resolve issues and manage projects without micromanagement, showcasing autonomy and responsibility.Strong English communication skills, essential for daily interaction with end-users, customers, and colleagues.A team player who collaborates effectively and communicates clearly, fostering a culture of cooperation and mutual support.
