Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Location: Remote in Brazil

Notice Period: Cannot be longer than 3 weeks

Pay: 18.42/hr to 20.39/hr USD or R$15,268 to R$16,978 monthly

Senior AI Back-End Engineer

Must Haves:

• 6+ years of back‑end engineering experience using C#/.NET (Core or 6+) in enterprise‑level environments
• Strong proficiency with SQL Server including stored procedures, query optimization, and schema design
• 2+ years experience integrating or working alongside AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar LLM-powered automation
• Solid understanding of API design (REST, minimal APIs, controllers, versioning, authentication)
• Experience building scalable, maintainable back-end systems with clean architecture, dependency injection, and robust logging
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable), including function apps, containers, or CI/CD pipelines

Plusses:

• Experience implementing AI-powered automations, such as code generation workflows, prompt-engineered utility layers, or LLM-based backend logic
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval pipelines

Day to Day:

• The AI Back-End Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services using C#/.NET and SQL Server, contributing to scalable API layers and reliable application infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing SQL queries, integrating AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot into development workflows, and ensuring clean, maintainable code output.
