The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced engineer to join the Cybersecurity / IT Engineering team as a full time Manager of IT. The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing many different hats including supporting end users, managing endpoints, automating identity and access management, and administering cloud-based IT systems and tools. A successful candidate will have demonstrated previous success in similar role(s) in rapidly growing, security-first, environments. The right person is passionate about automation, scripting, and building infrastructure as code. But, just as passionate about helping end users who are in need of help.

You will be a participant in the design, implementation and management of our growing corporate cloud first infrastructure and networks. You will have a passion for innovation and creative problem solving, as well as be adaptable to the ever-changing landscape of the corporate infrastructure environment. You will need to be a highly motivated, dependable and an experienced technologist who shares our passion and wants to be a part of a fast moving and highly execution-oriented team.

You will work closely with your Cybersecurity / IT peers and key stakeholder teams, including, but not limited to, Customer Success, Marketing, Engineering and HR. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and fast learner who is looking for a supportive environment to continue to grow their IT skills and expertise. This role will report to the Director of IT.

About the Role

• You will be customer-facing, and the first line of support; you own support, and you are passionate about providing an outstanding support experience to our employees — via Slack, Jira, etc.
• We’re all Mac. You are a pro at troubleshooting, using the terminal, and making macOS work in the enterprise.
• You will be responsible for procuring and delivering technology equipment.
• You will own the experience of tech onboarding of all new employees as well as tech retrieval of all outgoing employees.
• You’ll design, test, build, and document programs and policies and tools, and contribute improvements to existing knowledge with your experience and background.
• You’ll support and manage SaaS applications — Google Workspace (GSuite), Slack, Jamf Pro, Jamf Protect, Jamf Connect, Okta, Jira, etc.
• You will work with and manage Mac endpoint and mobile device management tools — MDM, EMM, Jamf, etc.
• You’ll own and contribute to improvements on IDP and SSO tools (GSuite, Okta, etc.)
• You’ll detail your solutions, craft help articles and automate busywork.
• Manage, respond to, and fix critical incidents and issues as needed, through to completion.
• You’re comfortable juggling help desk tickets and can effectively prioritise them.
• You'll work on projects over sprints, and detail your work in tools like Jira (you’re experienced with agile methods and sprints).
• You’ll set and work to your own objective and key results with minimal direction, and can align them to the team and the company goals.
