Role Description

This is a fully remote contract role for a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Oleve, particularly those with strong backend and infrastructure skills.

The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications.

Tasks include back-end web development using Python and FastAPI and front-end development using React and TypeScript.

Additionally, the engineer will work with MongoDB databases and apply CSS for styling user interfaces.

The engineer will also be involved in full-stack development activities, including participating in code reviews, debugging, and optimizing performance.

You'll leap into action when critical bugs or incidents arise, building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems to ensure problems are resolved before they affect our rapidly growing user base.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, React, and TypeScript.

Back-end development with Python / FastAPI; front-end with React / TypeScript; integrate CSS for styling.

Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

Respond to critical bugs or incidents; build, scale, and maintain large-scale distributed systems to ensure reliability for a global user base.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to architecture decisions.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and database design principles; good UX fundamentals.

Experience deploying to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google).

Proficient with Git and agile methodologies.

Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to create pixel-perfect UIs.

Bonus : Prior startup experience or willingness to take on multiple roles.

Preferred : Prior exposure to data orchestration systems and distributed systems.
