Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Insulation Technician to join our team. As an Industrial Insulation Technician, you will be responsible for applying, removing, and repairing insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a proven work experience as an Industrial Insulator, knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of insulation systems, and ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

• Selecting appropriate insulation based on heat retaining or excluding characteristics of the material.
• Using hand or power tools to fabricate, assemble, repair, and install insulation.
• Covering, sealing, or finishing insulated surfaces or access holes with covers of metallic or nonmetallic, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement or asphalt mastic.
• Determining amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation, based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use.
• Inspecting and assessing installations and conditions, and adjusting, repairing, or replacing insulation materials to ensure effective insulation.

Requirements :

To succeed as an Industrial Insulation Technician, you should possess excellent physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the job, attention to detail, and commitment to safety regulations and best practices.

A certificate in insulation or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities :

1. Applying Insulation :

Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems.

2. Inspection and Assessment :

Inspect and assess installations and conditions, and adjust, repair, or replace insulation materials to ensure effective insulation.

3. Materials Selection :

Select appropriate insulation based on heat retaining or excluding characteristics of the material.

4. Tool Operation :

Use hand or power tools to fabricate, assemble, repair, and install insulation.

5. Surface Finishing :

Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with covers of metallic or nonmetallic, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement or asphalt mastic.
