Cloud Application Developer

As a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead Python engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and developing new tools and processes to be used on an on-prem private cloud application.Key responsibilities include communicating technical concepts clearly, facilitating discussions, collaborating with stakeholders, providing project updates and mentoring team members.Develop high performance cloud and container technologies using Python as the main programming language;Deliver high quality solutions and code that meet or exceed expectations;Develop unit tests to improve the software development life cycle;Investigate and resolve issues reported during testing and customer integration;Participate in all aspects of an agile software development process;Work as part of a team focused on containerization, virtualization and fault tolerant / carrier grade development;Contribute to a highly available orchestration platform used to deploy private cloud platforms for 5G and distributed Edge deployments worldwide.Essential Skills : Backend development experience with a strong focus on Python;Knowledge of Linux essentials including file systems, permissions, and command line interfaces;Experience working with compressed backups and archives;Understanding of system security and users / groups / file permissions for public and private directories;Ability to create and run simple scripts;Knowledge and experience with Linux File System;Interest in working on development and troubleshooting of highly distributed orchestration platforms;Experience collaborating effectively across remote teams and time zones;Experience with GIT, Jira, Gitlab and code review tools;Experience with Cloud Storage;Strong computer networking knowledge on the application (HTTP / HTTPS / SIP / etc.) and transport (TCP / UDP / etc.) layers.Highly Desirable Skills : Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Linux Containers;Knowledge of cloud computing concepts including SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS;Experience with Kubernetes Cluster Administration and App Development;Experience with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ as developers;Experience with Docker and Helm.About This Role : We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead Python engineer to join our team.
