POSITION OBJECTIVE

We are establishing a new Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in Brazil and are seeking a highly experienced and technically astute individual to serve as our Technical Integrations Manager, focusing on compliance, regulatory & payments. This pivotal role acting as the bridge between our local technology operations and critical Brazilian regulatory mandates, with a strong focus on the national payments ecosystem. The successful candidate will ensure our platform's design and documentation adhere to all standards set by BACEN, particularly regarding payment operations and technical compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the officially designated Technical Integrations Manager for BACEN during inquiries, inspections, and license maintenance.
• Validate and oversee that Brazil EMI’s technology operations, infrastructure, and integrations (including PIX) meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Ensure safeguarding, reconciliation, transaction traceability, and audit logs are fully aligned with BACEN standards.
• Confirm LGPD compliance for data residency and protection.
• Review and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and compliance evidence required for regulatory submissions and audits.
• Act as the local payments subject matter expert, ensuring accurate communication with BACEN and partners.
• Collaborate with the Brazil MLRO and Operations Director on compliance priorities, while functionally aligning with the Global CTO and engineering teams.

Leadership & Global Alignment

• Collaborate effectively with the local Brazil EMI Compliance Officer to prioritize and address all compliance-related technology requirements.
• Functionally align with the Global CTO and global engineering teams, ensuring local technical solutions integrate seamlessly with the global platform architecture while meeting all Brazilian legal mandates.

Requirements

• Experience in fintech, payments, or EMI/PSP operations in Brazil.
• Strong knowledge of PIX, Brazilian clearing/settlement systems, and BACEN’s compliance framework.
• Familiarity with regulatory technology requirements: audit logs, safeguarding, reconciliation, and data residency.
• Experience liaising with regulators or auditors on technical/compliance matters.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English, with excellent communication and technical writing skills.
