Avanti is part of Alimak Group. Our Controller will be working at Avanti Brazil, the Wind Division of the group with an operation based in Eusébio / Ceará. Candidates must observe the previous experience in companies related to our businesses and the necessary mobility to work presencially at our factory / facilities. The company will not cover the cost of changing addresses, so the position is primarily for candidates who live close by our operation in Eusébio City, Fortaleza´s Metropolitan area.
Role description :
Our Finance-focused Controller will be responsible for proactive financial management, accounting / finance oversight, budgeting and forecasting, to ensure compliance with Group Policies across Brazil. The ideal candidate is a dedicated finance and accounting professional focused on compliance, financial disclosure, tax management, and team leadership. Responsible for ensuring local and international standards compliance (IFRS / IFRS for SMEs), internal controls, financial planning, consolidated reporting, and audit support in a global footprint environment.
Key tasks & responsibilities :
Manage financial interactions with suppliers and customers, credit analysis, negotiations, and payments.
Coordinate and optimize internal / external accounting and finance functions, reconciliations and internal controls.
Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP / IFRS, close monthly and year-end.
monitor DSO and collections.
Maintain internal controls, compliance policies, and support external audits, interface with auditors and consultants.
tax planning, SPED, ECD / ECF, SPED Contábil.
Ensure governance compliance : SOX (where applicable) and risk controls.
Qualifications & Competencies :
To be successful in this role you will have :
Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting (Economics, Business Administration, or Compliance also considered).
MBA or similar.
Prior experience in global footprint companies.
Fluent communication in English to operate in a global environment.
Team player.
Strong knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS for SMEs), GAAP, and financial disclosure standards (ITG 2000 / ITG 2001 / ITGC).
Thorough understanding of CPCs (Comitê de Pronunciamento Contábil), focusing on assets, financial instruments, etc.
Knowledge of Chart of Accounts, Brazilian corporate legislation, and good compliance practices.
SPED Fiscal, SPED Contábil, ECD / ECF, and deadlines.
Transfer pricing and tax incentives where applicable.
Navision / Business Central preferred.
Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with Group Financial Reporting tools (OCRA, Hyperion, AARO or similar) is a plus.
Knowledge of local accounting standards and regulations.
