Position Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and operational excellence across our international finance team. You will take ownership of complex reconciliations, advanced transaction coding, and key components of the month-end close, contributing directly to the integrity of our financial reporting.
Using your analytical mindset, technical expertise, and strong understanding of accounting principles, you will resolve discrepancies, support audits, guide junior staff, and help improve internal processes. Your ability to collaborate across departments, communicate clearly, and manage priorities will be essential as you handle AP / AR escalations, review expenses, and maintain high standards of compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Reconciliation : Perform and review complex transaction reconciliations in QuickBooks Online; identify and resolve discrepancies independently.
Advanced Transaction Coding : Accurately classify and code complex transactions, including accruals, prepaids, and multi-department allocations in compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Reporting Support : Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules; contribute to month-end close processes.
Expense Management : Review and approve expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance; provide guidance to staff on expense procedures.
Accounts Payable / Receivable : Handle escalated AP / AR issues, manage aging reports, assist with collection efforts, and maintain vendor relationships.
Journal Entry Preparation : Prepare and post standard and adjusting journal entries; maintain supporting documentation.
Process Improvement : Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and help implement best practices for efficiency.
Audit Support : Prepare requested audit documentation and schedules; serve as a key contact for auditor inquiries.
Junior Staff Support : Provide guidance and answer questions from junior accounting team members as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills for working with various departments and external contacts.
Preferred Experience
4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
Background in small-to-mid-sized business accounting environments.
Familiarity with expense management tools and multiple accounting software platforms.
Experience training or mentoring junior staff members.
Strong English Skills.
