DescriptionThis role is hybrid, requiring 2 days of home office per week.
The responsibilities include managing various projects, processes, budgets (including cost reduction initiatives), and timelines, making adjustments to ensure successful completion.
The role involves providing guidance in parts certification activities with OCPs and Laboratories to ensure tests and audits across global vehicle platforms meet deadlines.
Regular communication with engineers and suppliers is essential to ensure vehicle parts' regulatory compliance and accuracy for aftersales.
Key initiatives may include Data Analytics, Process Mapping & Improvements, Process Automations, and Systems Development (WPM).
Collaboration with internal and external teams is vital.Specific duties include Parts Marking : overseeing South America service parts certification and compliance for new and existing programs, following up with Suppliers, Product Engineers, and Service Engineers to ensure compliance, data maintenance in GM systems, and conducting regulatory analysis.
Additionally, managing Substance of Concern (SoC) declarations to prevent harmful substances in service parts, reviewing substances content and labeling, acquiring reports from suppliers, and supporting global substances elimination projects.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Production, Chemical, or Automotive) preferred.Intermediate English skills (reading, writing, speaking).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
Occasional travel may be required.Desirable Skills : Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to work independently, investigate, and apply technical judgment.Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.Technical knowledge of automotive systems and interest in technical literature.Intermediate Spanish skills.Experience with regulations and compliance systems.Knowledge of Global Aftersales Engineering and Product Development processes.Experience with GM CCA's ERAPA system, Production Part Release Engineering, and Aftersales business.Additional Skills : Accountability for results, planning, teamwork, organizational skills, problem-solving, negotiation, innovation, cost management, and decision-making.Excellent communication skills, customer focus, and quick problem resolution.About GM : Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion.
