What you'll doThe engineer will support the Kubernetes and Service Mesh (Istio) lifecycle within the platform squad by : Creating and / or enhancing mechanisms to bootstrapObserve (monitoring)Maintain (including upgrades)Decommission these resources using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native best practices across several clusters.This is a remote position.

Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.QualificationsBasic Qualifications5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.The candidate must possess strong expertise in Kubernetes and Service Mesh (ideally, Istio), with proven experience supporting both day-to-day operations and business-driven initiatives.This role requires a hands-on approach to managing cloud-native infrastructure, with all tasks executed through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)—preferably using Terraform—and aligned with GitOps methodologies within a fully automated CI / CD pipeline.A solid foundation in English communication is essential, as the role involves regular collaboration with team members located outside Brazil.Desirable QualificationsBasic knowledge in script developmentBasic knowledge in AWS services (S3 Bucket, DynamoDB Table, IAM, EC2)Additional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
