About the Role
We are seeking an AWS Developer with strong cloud and on-premise experience to help modernize our data and analytics platforms. This role focuses on migrating Oracle-based systems to AWS, building and automating data pipelines, and ensuring that analytical capabilities are scalable and reliable in the cloud.
The ideal candidate is hands-on with AWS development and Python scripting, understands data modeling and structures, ETL process and has experience supporting BI and reporting platforms such as Tableau or OBIEE. This is a technical role that requires both engineering skills and a strong analytical mindset to understand how data supports business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the migration of existing on-premise Oracle / BI platforms (including OBIEE, ThoughtSpot, and Tableau) to AWS.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, data models, and analytical layers across Oracle and AWS ecosystems.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes using modern data warehousing and data lake concepts.
- Write and optimize Python scripts for automation, data transformation, and integration.
- Contribute to the design of data lakes and data layers, ensuring consistency, scalability, and business alignment.
- Support data science initiatives leveraging AWS SageMaker and other advanced analytics tools.
- Analyze and understand existing data structures and models, including how financial data is stored and used.
- Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to ensure smooth data flow and reporting across platforms.
- Collaborate with BI teams to enhance and maintain reporting platforms and visualization tools (OBIEE, Tableau, ThoughtSpot).
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with AWS development, especially data and analytics services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, SageMaker).Proven background in on-premise Oracle environments and data migration to cloud.Solid understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Lake concepts, as well as ETL development (ODI / ODIEE experience preferred).Proficiency in Python scripting and PySpark for data engineering and automation.Experience with BI and reporting tools, including OBIEE, Tableau, and ideally ThoughtSpot.Strong grasp of data modeling, data governance, and data lifecycle management.Exposure to financial services data and understanding of financial terminology and concepts.Analytical and structured thinker with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities — speaks up, proposes solutions, and helps improve processes.Proactive and curious, takes initiative to simplify or optimize workflows.Focused on design thinking and continuous improvement.Fluent English.Additional Information
